Dear Students,

I would like to extend my warmest welcome to all of you for joining the EdUHK family. University study, as you will begin to experience, is an exciting journey filled with unlimited opportunities. We are here to support your endeavour and facilitate you to develop your talents.

Apart from the academic department with which you are affiliated, the Student Affairs Office (SAO) is the key contact offering a wealth of resources crucial in your holistic development and professional pursuit. First, our Peer Mentors will guide you along the way with the insider information and connect you with new friends on campus. Our Student Development Tutors will walk you through different types of experiential learning activities of your interests and help you craft a plan for your university life. In student halls, wardens, tutors and management teams will co-create with you a conducive and supportive living-learning environment. All these supports serve to groom you to be an all-round individual in the University and aim to transform you into a socially responsible and global citizen. For non-local students, we care for your needs. We will organise on-arrival programmes, such as language classes and cultural activities, to help you integrate into the campus and local communities as soon as possible.

Be active, actualise your potentials and enjoy the friendships in EdUHK that last a lifetime.

Professor Chetwyn Chan Che-hin
Vice President (Research & Development)
