General Academic Regulations (GAR)

  • General Academic Regulations (GAR) aims to assure the academic standard of the University.
  • Students of undergraduate, diploma and certificate programmes are required to observe the General Academic Regulations whilst studying at the University.
  • Students are required to familiarise yourself with the General Academic Regulations and the “Operational Guidelines supporting GAR” under the “Student Handbook”.
  • For new policies/regulations or any amendments/updates, please refer to the announcement made via the Intranet, emails, notices, circulars and the online version: https://www.eduhk.hk/re/student_handbook/

Academic Advising (AA)

  • All full-time UGC-funded undergraduate students* are assigned an academic advisor. The academic advisors will assist students from their first year of study in adjusting to new university life, developing study plans, acquiring study skills, formulating career goals, and planning for further studies in their ensuing years of study. Advisors will refer students to appropriate supporting units for relevant resources to assist their learning at the University whenever necessary.

    * Students of Postgraduate diploma in Education programmes and sub-degree programmes will join AA on a voluntary basis.
